How I went from cold-calling at Cognizant
to building GetNos.

I was a sales guy first. Long before anyone called me Funnel Daddy. Long before the lime, the WWE belt, and the bed of money photoshoot. I was a 24-year-old in a Cognizant office, learning that nothing in your CRM beats a well-crafted opening line on a phone call.

Then came Movate. Then IBM. Then enterprise software, healthcare tech, EdTech, B2B SaaS, and a few stints I don't put on the slide deck because they didn't end well. I trained 583 sales reps personally. Not a screenshot. Not a marketing claim. Real reps. Real call rooms. Real numbers on a whiteboard at the end of every quarter.

Byju's and Extramarks were the masterclass in how Indian EdTech actually scaled. $200 CAC funnels, 25-second VSL hooks, sales floors of 400 reps closing parents on a 3-call sequence. I saw the whole machine from the inside. I also saw exactly where it broke. I took notes. A lot of notes.

Then I tried agency life. Nautone was the scar that built GetNos. Six-figure retainers. Ten-page reports. Dashboards full of "engagement." Founders quietly burning runway because the numbers on the slide didn't match the numbers in the bank. I watched it happen. I helped it happen. I'm not proud of either.

What I run by

Eight rules. Non-negotiable.

These aren't marketing principles. They're the operating manual. If you work with us, this is what you're paying for. If you can't agree with them, this isn't going to work and that's fine.

RULE 01

Backwards from the revenue target.

Most agencies start with assets. We start with your 12-month revenue number and work backwards: monthly leads, channel mix, creative volume, and which 23 assets to build, in what order. The plan answers to the number, not the brief.

RULE 02

No retainers. No lock-in.

Forty-two day install. Fixed scope. Fixed price. You own everything. If we never speak again after Day 42, you still have the full revenue system running. Retainers reward us for being slow. We don't take that bet.

RULE 03

Two clients per month. Hard cap.

We turned away 18 brands in Q1 2026. Not because we couldn't do the work. Because we'd do it badly. Two clients, full senior team on each, no offshore execution, no junior writing the headlines. This is the rule that makes the guarantee possible.

RULE 04

Numbers or it didn't happen.

"Engagement" is not a number. "Reach" is not a number. Booked qualified calls is a number. Closed revenue at a known CAC is a number. Day 56 audit is a number. If the dashboard can't be expressed in dollars or appointments, it's a vanity slide.

RULE 05

Specificity beats cleverness.

"₹14,73,200 in monthly ad spend" beats "a lot of ad spend." "243 to 674 enquiries in 240 days" beats "significant pipeline lift." Specificity reads as real and verified. Round numbers read as made up. We don't round.

RULE 06

The guarantee has teeth.

If at Day 120 of a Signature engagement blended CAC hasn't dropped 20% from the agreed baseline, or monthly qualified leads haven't at least doubled, we refund 50% of the fee. No clauses. No disputes. Written into the SOW. Signed before kickoff.

RULE 07

Senior operators only. No interns.

Every operator has 5 to 10+ years in the craft. Strategy, creative, performance, delivery, revenue. No junior writing your VSL. No offshore churn shop running the spend. The team that pitches you is the team that ships your install. That is the only honest model.

RULE 08

Talk to one person.
